PCM Cooling Elements: Flexible and Non-Flammable
The cooling elements of IZI BodyCooling's PCM vests are unique: they are non-flammable and remain flexible after activation. Unlike competitors' elements, which are often made of paraffin oils, flammable and rigid after activation, IZI's elements are comfortable to wear.
Meaning of Temperatures and Weights
The weight of a cell indicates its capacity to store energy: 150 grams cools for a maximum of 2 hours and takes less time to "recharge" than a 250-gram cell. Temperatures indicate the constant cooling temperature: an 18-degree cell cools to 18 degrees, a 24-degree cell to 24 degrees, and so on.
At 40°C, a 24°C element provides 16°C of cooling. At 50°C, the same element provides 26°C of cooling, but its operating time is reduced. For very high temperatures, we recommend 250-gram elements at 30 degrees.
