PCM-Cool© Flex Instruction

The IZI BodyCooling PCM01 and PCM02 vests feature 8 interior pockets designed to accommodate the Flex-PCM-Cool© elements, available in packs of 8 in 150g and 250g versions. The elements are available in the following temperatures:

  • 150 grams: 12°C, 18°C, 24°C, 30°C
  • 250 grams: 12°C, 18°C, 24°C, 30°C

Choosing the Right PCM Flex Element

PCM-Cool© Flex cooling elements are available in temperatures of 12, 18, 24, and 30 degrees. It is recommended to choose an element approximately 15 degrees below the operating temperature. For example, for an ambient temperature of 40 degrees, opt for a 24-degree pad, providing 16°C of cooling. At 50°C, a 24°C element will provide 26°C of cooling, but with a reduced operating time. For very high temperatures, we recommend the 250-gram 30-degree elements. These environmentally friendly and non-flammable pads contain a water and salt solution, ensuring safe and long-lasting use.

PCM (Phase Change Material)

Flex PCM-Cool© materials release energy by changing from a solid to a liquid state. During the 2 to 4 hours of use, they gradually become more flexible.

Weight, Usage Time and Activation Time

The duration of use depends on the ambient temperature. For ambient temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, we always recommend using 250-gram cooling elements. For rapid activation, place the cooling elements separately in the refrigerator or freezer, without stacking them. They can be activated at least 500 times.
