Hydrogel-Cool© Instructions

Hydrogel-Cool© products can be used regularly or intensively. Intensive and ultra-intensive use are designed for intense sports activities in extreme heat conditions.

Caution: To ensure the Hydrogel Vest works best in any of the three usage methods below, it is recommended not to wear clothing over it, as this would block effective evaporation. A light t-shirt underneath is acceptable and will not block cooling.

1 Regular activation:

The product cools through evaporation. To activate, immerse it in water for 20 minutes. The hydrogel beads in the square compartments absorb the water and turn into gel. Then, wrap the wet vest in a towel to remove excess water. The vest is now activated (ready to use), but it will still feel slightly damp. To dry the fabric, hang the product. It's normal for the fabric surrounding the hydrogel to remain slightly damp at first, but it won't leave any traces of moisture, for example, on a T-shirt worn underneath.

2 Heavy use

After regular activation, place the vest in the refrigerator for 8 hours. This will add 30 minutes of additional cooling. Evaporation will then take over.

3 Ultra intense use (ice):

For more intense cooling, place the unfolded product in the freezer. After 8 hours, the hydrogel compartments will be completely frozen, providing an additional 2 to 3 hours of intense cooling, depending on the vest model. Once the ice melts, the evaporation process resumes.

Cleaning and maintenance:

Fabric: 100% polyester

  • Hand wash in warm water with natural organic soap. Do not use regular detergent or fabric softener.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not tumble dry.

Storage

When the Hydrogel-cool© product will not be used within the next 48 hours:

  1. Allow your product to evaporate the remaining water in a well-ventilated room.
  2. The hydrogel will dry and turn into hard granules. The product is then ready for storage.
  3. Store it in a cool, dark place.
